CBA President - Nihad Younes

CBA President - Nihad Younes

Nihad was involved in the Circassian community at very young age, particularly after the 1967 war.  He came to the United States in 1970 and quickly joined the NJ Circassian community.

He has served as Board member of a previous organization for six years.  Following his move with his wife to California in 1978, he joined the Kavkas Cultural Center and served as board member for 4 additional years.  Later settling in Seattle, Nihad and family kept Circassian traditions alive with his new small community.
  
Finally back to New Jersey, Nihad looks forward to leading this administration and upholding the campaign platform he was elected on: Unity, Reform, and Youth.

CBA 1st Vice President - Suha Kurmanov

CBA 1st Vice President - Suha Kurmanov

Suha is a logistic and building manager for Triangle Distribution, a distribution center for Steve Madden Ltd and Limited Logistic Company. Born and raised in the United States, Suha joined the CBA in 1998 as a general member and became actively involved in serving on the Executive Board in 2004.  She served as the chairman of the dance group from 2003 to 2008, 2nd Vice President to the association for 2 years (2009-2010), and most recently elected as 1st Vice President.

Suha has worked with a number of volunteers who served on the committee of the Narts Dance Ensemble without whose help the dance group would not be where they are today. Her passion for the youth of the community has been her top priority. Over the years, Suha has dedicated her time to the CBA and the members of the association.
  
She is a graduate of Hawthorne High School and Berkeley College.

CBA 2nd Vice President - Reslan Youghar

Raised in America, Reslan has been an active member of the Circassian Benevolent Association since 1991. Reslan was part of the Dance Group between 1991- 2000. In 2009 Reslan joint the Council and served until end of 2010 and resigned to serve as 2nd Vice President.

Reslan graduated from Passaic County Technical Institute in 1989 and attended Passaic County Community College. Received a certificate of completion from Nu-Tech Inc as a Network Engineer in 1999.

Reslan has been in the IT Field for 12 years working in Instinet Corp in NYC, Valley National Bank in Wayne and currently at AT&T in Piscataway as a Network Engineer.

CBA Executive Board Member - Adham Samkough

Adham has been an active member of the Circassian Benevolent Association for over ten years and has previously served as a permanent council member. His passion to nourish our youth is greatly demonstrated by his support for the Nart’s Dance Ensemble and the Amin Samkough Sunday school. Adham graduated from Manchester High School and is a successful business owner for the last 20 years.

CBA Executive Board Member - Issam Mirza

Issam grew up in a traditional Circassian family that valued education and hard work. He has been a member of the CBA for many years. Issam is happily married for 28 years with my wife Mirvate. They have a daughter, Janelle, and a son, Evan.  Issam attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey getting a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Biomedical science. Issam works for Hitachi America, a large global company where he is the technical lead on drives and robotic systems in North America.

CBA Executive Board Member - Yaldar Taher, MD, DPT

Dr. Yaldar Taher has been an active member of the Circassian community since his migration to America in 2000.  In 2009 Dr. Taher joined the permanent council of the CBA and played an active role in managing the CBA affairs.

Dr. Taher obtained his medical degree and residency from the First State Russian Medical University-Moscow and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and rehabilitation-New York.  Dr. Taher worked in several hospitals in New York and New Jersey and owns a medical consulting company.
